Shellea has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years. She has been a part of the Paws Family since 2009. She is passionate about her work and love for animals. Shellea is married with 3 children and 5 adorable grandchildren. She also has 4 fur babies at home, including 2 dogs and 2 cats.

After owning my own business for 15 years in Massachusetts I decided to follow my passion for animals and went to school to become a CVA. After working in a few clinics, I worked  my way up to being an internal medicine technician at a specialty hospital. Looking for a change I moved to Ocala.Before long I  found my place at Paws Animal Hospital. I spend my spare time at the farm with my horse and with my other fur babies 

Stephanie is originally from Whittier, California, Stephanie’s passion for animal care began at age 14 while volunteering at a horse ranch and dog rescue. She studied to be a Veterinary Technician at Mt. San Antonio College caring for a variety of animals. Now in Florida, she enjoys spending time with her 3 dogs creating music, dancing, and gardening in her free time. As a bilingual team member, she strives to make every pet and their family feel welcomed, safe, and cared for.

Elena began working as a veterinary technician in 2018, gaining four years of experience before taking a break in 2022 to be a stay-at-home mom. Excited to return to the work she loves, she began studying in 2026 to become a licensed veterinary technician. Elena is passionate about providing compassionate, attentive care and is dedicated to helping every pet feel safe and comfortable. She enjoys expanding her knowledge and skills to give her patients the best care possible. At home, Elena is a proud mom to her two-year-old human child and her fur babies: her dog, Sally, and her three cats, Chicken, George, and Major. As both a mom and a pet parent, she understands that pets are family and strives to treat every patient with the same kindness and care she would want for her own.

Avery recently graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in Biology, Chemistry, and Pre-Veterinary Medicine. Her mom has been a practicing veterinarian since 2000, which she credits for her life-long passion for animals and veterinary medicine. At home, Avery has a 19-year old cockatiel named Jalapeno. Her specific love of birds and exotics arose after a study abroad trip to Costa Rica in college, where Avery spent 5 weeks studying the raptors, macaws, and other wildlife indigenous to Central America. Having just moved to Florida at the end of 2025 with her best friend, Avery loves to go on adventures, go out to the squares, and draw in her free time.

Becca has always had a love for animals and enjoys being part of a team that helps care for them every day. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find her riding and spending time with her horses, Austin and Skip, or spending time with her Great Pyrenees, Beau. She also loves relaxing and watching movies with her orange cat, Milo. When she’s not with her animals, Becca enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend and making trips to Disney for a little extra magic and fun.

Amy was born & raised in Orlando and recently relocated to Wildwood, where she now calls home with her partner, Travis, a Wildwood native, her son, Hudson Hawk, and their two French Bulldogs, Cowboy and Bonnie. With 22 years experience in veterinary medicine, Amy began her career as a receptionist at just 18 years old and has had many titles in the field, including practice manager and is a trained veterinary technician assistant. She has spent the last seven years as a Lead Customer Service Representative and has dedicated much of her career to building meaningful relationships with clients, patients, and the community. From volunteering with local organizations and animal sanctuaries to organizing community adoption events. Amy is passionate about exceptional customer service and making every client and patient feel like family. After joining Paws Animal Hospital, she quickly fell in love with the amazing team and the wonderful community, making it feel like home. Outside of work, Amy is a lifelong Duke basketball fan, an avid reader, and a country music lover. You’ll often find her cheering on Hudson at his baseball and basketball games or relaxing on her wraparound porch, with her family and her two favorite Frenchies. 

Hannah joined Paws in 2025, and she works in the kennel during the school year and as technician/assistant during the summer. She’s hoping to pursue animal sciences in college and attend vet school later on. She has three cats- Taki, Callie, and Ariel. She also has two dogs- Cooper and Lola.
